Ramona Castilla

Ramona Acevedo Castilla, 82, went to rest in the arms of her Heavenly Father on April 14th, 2018 in Sunnyside, WA at Astria Hospital. Ramona was born on December 11, 1935 in Michoacan, Mexico to Parents Jose Benitez and Mariana Acevedo. She was a farm laborer for many years. She enjoyed taking trips to the beach, and sharing her life adventures through her stories. She loved playing loteria (bingo) and card games. Ramona loved reading her bible verses each morning. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Ramona is survived by her children, Maria de la Luz Castilla of Grandview and Rafael Castilla of Grandview; two grandchildren: Erika (Andrew) Benavidez of Grandview, Eduardo Amescua of Grandview; three great grandchildren: Sophia, Camila, and Andrew Benavidez. She is also survived by her siblings: sister, Juana Benitez and brother, Rafael (Lucia) Benitez, both of Mexico. Ramona was preceded in death by both her Parents, Jose and Mariana; two children, Francisco Amescua and Ramon Amescua; four brothers: Gabriel, Manuel, Miguel, and Jose Maria Jr. Benitez, and one sister, Mariana Garcia.
