Ramon Mireles

Ramon “Roman” Mireles 79 of Yakima passed away June 29, 2014 in Toppenish Washington. He was born August 9, 1934 in Edna Texas to Jesus and Elvira Mireles. Roman immigrated here to the valley in 1965 where he worked in agriculture. He enjoyed BBQ’s with the family, his dog Chico, playing pool, gardening, and helping others. He also enjoyed spending time with his life long friend John Nalewajek. Roman is preceded in death by his son; Roman Mirelez Jr, daughter; Cecilia Quesada Mirelez and his parents Jesus and Elvira Mireles. Ramon is survived by his sons; Jesse Mirelez, Ray Mirelez, Michael Mirelez, and Daniel Mireles. One daughter Melissa Mirelez, 28 grand children and 55 great grand children. Viewing and visitation will be held 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 2, 2014 with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Saint Josephs Catholic Church in Sunnyside, followed by a reception.
