Ralph Janshen

March 14, 1958 — January 14, 2023

Ralph Earnest Janshen Jr was born on March 14, 1958 and passed on January 14th 2023 in Sunnyside WA. Ralph grew up in Selah, and spent his childhood working on his family's dairy farm. He went on to join the Army and then returned home, continuing to work in the farming industry. Ralph's caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by anyone he came in contact with. He had a special gift of not only seeing the good in people but bringing out the best in them as well. Ralph was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time working with horses and dairy cows or going fishing, always accompanied by his deeply loved dog Pup. Observing Ralph with animals was something to behold as he had a way of drawing them to him. His love for the outdoors brought out the happy free spirit that defined Ralph. He was beloved by all who knew him, No matter the circumstance, you'd always leave with a story of something crazy Ralph did while you were with him. If someone told him something couldn't be done, he was always the first to say "Hold my beer" and prove them wrong. Ralph lived his life his way, on his terms and with wild abandon. A stubborn force to be reckoned with. An unrelenting advocate for being who you are and doing what you want. Loud, funny, intelligent, vivacious. There is so much more that should be said, but in the end, what he did was make our world brighter. We love and miss you. Ralph was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Janshen SR and his beloved dog Pup. He is survived by his mother Gladys, his sisters Brenda and Ondrea, children Tom, James and Whitney, and many nieces and nephews.
