Phyllis Agdeppa, 86 of Yakima Wa (originally from Wapato), went to her heavenly home on April 28, 2023, with her family by her side after a short battle with cancer. She was born August 20, 1936 to David and Phoebe McCollister in Amboy Wa. Mom married our Dad, Bernard Agdeppa June 20,1953. They were married for 54 years and had five daughters. She and our father worked in farming for many years. They eventually bought their own farm in Wapato and raised their own crops and animals. Besides farming, Mom worked as a seamstress for dry cleaners in both Toppenish and Wapato.
Mom was a strong, loving, Christian woman who had a strong influence on her family, always there to listen and encourage. Since she loved to sew, she made handmade quilts for each member of her family especially those new arrivals. One year making over 40 quilts for Christmas. She also enjoyed gardening, crafts, puzzles, baking, and spending time with her family at family gatherings.
She is survived by her daughters, Rosie Hernandez (Balmore), Phyllis Garza (Jerry), Karen Bautista (Jesse), Joyce Woodcock (Dennis), 12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and another one on the way, and many nieces and nephews.
