Pedro Cervantes Cuevas passed away peacefully on February 23, 2019. He was born on June 27, 1944 in La Mesa, Michoacan Mexico. Pedro was predeceased by his parents, Maria de Jesus Cuevas and Pedro Cervantes; brother Heriberto, and sisters Florentina and Adelina. He is survived by his wife Refugia (Cuca) Cervantes and children: Luis Felipe (Nancy), Angelica (Ernesto), Miguel (Mandi), Dina (Guadalupe), Alma (Adam) along with thirteen grandchildren: Luis Miguel, Kaitlyn, Leah, Citlali, Olin, Diego, Salvador, Miguel Angel, Breianna, Natalia, Daniel, Mia, and Leo. He also leaves behind his sisters: Seferina, Santos, Aurora, Maria and several nieces and nephews.
Pedro was a longtime resident of Wapato. He was a devout Catholic and member of the St. Peter Claver church. He greatly enjoyed serving God on Sundays followed by a dinner outing or, in his earlier days, a Spanish movie at Liberty Theater. He most enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He would light up the room with his charisma and sense of humor. He enjoyed his rainy days with a novella and some warm coffee; but when the sun came out he couldn’t wait to play volleyball or start the grill for carne asada. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved playing cards, dominoes, bowling, and listening to music. His lighthearted spirit will be missed, but know it has moved on to a better place. We’ll miss you “valecito.”
We wish to give a heartfelt thanks to Emerald Care services for their attentive and loving care of our father in his final days.
