Pearl Agnes (VanEpps) Morris
On July 3rd, 2015 at 7:20AM at the beautiful Cottage In the Meadow, surrounded by her family, our loving “Earth Angel” returned home to be with our Lord. Mom was born on September 18th 1918 in Maple Valley, WA. She moved to Tieton, WA as a young child where she remained for pretty much the rest of her life.
Mom married our father, Bill Morris, on February 15, 1939 and they raised their 5 children, Barabara (Erv) LaBarr, Wilma (James) Sharples, Joyce (Don) McBride, Bill Jr. (Donna) Morris and Larry (Myra) Morris. Mom was the most loving kind soul. She was our rock and the center of our world. Everyone who met her was her friend and she was exactly what the Lord intended when He created us, loving, caring, forgiving, and generous.
She loved her family and especially her flock of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, Irv (Rhonda) LaBarr, Robert (Lisa) LaBarr, Jamie (Paul) Sharples, Pam (Mike) Davis, Tammy (Brian) Schmidt, Jeff Morris, Jennifer (Josh) Kenworthy, Ryan (Jennifer) Morris, Kevin Lines, Joel (Suellen) Lines, A.J LaBarr, Lance (Megan) LaBarr, D.J (Jessica) Sluman, Jenna Sharples, Tiffany (Jake) Sharples, Ryan Kersten, Elizabeth (Stephan) Davis, Karina Schmidt, Karsten Schmidt, Mila Kenworthy, Bayah Morris, Tayler LaBarr, Riley LaBarr and Rider Sluman.
Mom is also survived by her sister in laws, Claudia Van Epps, Ellener VanEpps, InaMae VanEpps, Arlene Ferguson, and one brother in law, Eugene Smith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Morris Sr., 6 brothers, her parents, and her beloved son, Larry.
Mom loved her family gatherings. When she rolled into the room all eyes were on her. She would light up the room and everyone would rush to greet her. Some people spend their entire life looking for the perfect pearl, but we had one for 96 years.
Visitation is planned for Wednesday from 12-7 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima. A graveside service is planned for Thursday at 11:00AM at Naches Cemetery. Valley Hills Funeral Home is caring for the family.
