Pauline Phillips Miller “Tipi’lón-my,” 83 years, born to Maggie Johnson and Matthews Phillips on 2-24-1935 and passed away peacefully in her home 7-12-2018.
She was an avid traditional dancer, loved attending rodeos, pow-wows, basketball, and numerous veteran committees. She was a liaison educator until she retired from Wapato School District. Enjoyed everything with horses, being a very skilled horse rider and her favorite horse Snubby. Pastime hobbies included beadwork & sowing. She loved all denominations of religion and a traditional gathering.
She is survived by daughters, Colleen (Ernie), Gernell and Charmayne, Marjorie (caretaker), Cindy (Emerson), Kirby (Gracie) and great granddaughter little angel Athena, Janice and son Brandon and great grandsons Huli and Kai.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Miller Jr., parents Maggie Johnson and Matthew Phillips, brothers Melvin Phillips, Freda Redthunder, Elery Phillips and Hank Phillips, sister, Vernita Phillips, best friend, Zelma Minthorn and grandsons David William Miller and Manny Benjamin Miller.
There will be a burial Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at sunrise at ‘Ye-mow-wit” Cemetery in Ahtanum beside her husband. Dinner will follow at Brandon Miller’s home, 1850 E. Wapato Rd. in Wapato, WA.
