Patsy Yergen

Patsy J. (Williams) Yergen, age 76, of Yakima, Washington, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Harborview on June 13, 2018. Patsy was born in Yakima, Washington to the late Raymond and Phyllis (Rusk) Williams on May 7, 1942. She is preceded in death by her son Teddy, her sister Pamela, and her brother RuDe. Patsy grew up in Tieton, Washington. She attended Tieton grade school and graduated from Highland High School. She graduated from Whitworth College with a Bachelor of Science degree. She then received a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Records Science from Seattle University. Patsy went to work at the University Hospital in Seattle. She then worked at a hospital in Tempe, Arizona. She then took the job of Department Head of Medical Records at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Yakima. She later went to work at Yakima Valley School in Selah as the Medical Records Department Head. She retired from there in 2004. Patsy is survived by Fred, her husband of 42 ½ years; her brother Michael Williams; one niece and 6 nephews. To honor Patsy’s wishes there will be no funeral. Private family burial will be at West Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Church or Charity of your choice in Patsy’s memory.
