Our precious Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, Patsy Joan Roberts, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, September 12, 2025. Patsy was born on December 31, 1937, in San Miguel County, New Mexico. On November 9, 1956, Patsy married her high school sweetheart, Willard Allen Roberts, in Granger, WA, in Yakima County.
Patsy's accomplishments during her life included being the Cherry Festival Princess in Granger, a Majorette in the Baton Drill team, and playing in many coed basketball games with Willard and their teammates. Patsy's many hobbies included cooking, sewing, bowling, and chasing her grandkids and the neighborhood kids. Patsy taught Sunday School at the Grandview Church of the Nazarene for 25-plus years. She was the recipient of the Nazarene Distinguishing Award and spent many years with the Bus Ministry at the Church.
Patsy had very special friends, Leo and Nora Hernandez, who always filled her heart with joy during every visit. Lorena was Patsy's special angel who was like an additional daughter and took care of her for nine years at her home in Grandview. Patsy's work history included JC Penny and Bonanza 88 in Sunnyside. In Grandview, she worked in the Mode-O-Day clothing store. Patsy was involved as a volunteer for Life Options and the Seventh Day Adventist Food Bank.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Allen Roberts ("Burr"), and daughter Dianna Lynn Miller of Grandview. She is survived by her daughter Joleen Viola Peterson and husband Ken of Grandview, Jeff Miller ("son-in-law") of Grandview, daughter Pamela Kay Stilwell and husband Eric of Grandview, son Burr Allen Roberts and wife Crystal of Zillah, and daughter Kami Faye Smith and husband Brian of Kendrick, Idaho. She had ten grandkids and ten great-grandkids.
Any donations or contributions can be given to Grandview Church of the Nazarene. Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. September 20, 2025, at Grandview Church of the Nazarene.
