Patricia Jones

January 8, 1953 — October 2, 2014

Patricia (Patti) Ann Jones, 61, of Toppenish passed away on October 2nd, 2014 at the Cottage in the Meadow in Yakima. Patti was born to Bill and Irene Dallman in Port Townsend, WA on January 8, 1953. She lived in the Yakima Valley her entire life. She is survived by her husband, Ron, of Toppenish, father, Bill, of Pasco, and her three sons, Chad and wife Erica of Selah, Casey and wife Jessalynn of Yakima, and Tyler and wife Coraleigh of Redmond. She also had three grandchildren, Kolbi and Cohen to Casey and Jessalynn, and Landon to Chad and Erica. Patti and Ron were married for 43 years. They were baptized in 1974 as Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Toppenish Congregation where they have many brothers, sisters, and friends. Patti spent many years working at Howard’s Tire Factory and Toppenish Chiropractic Clinic as a bookkeeper, but most of all she was a mom. She was a great mom, the best one could imagine, to her three sons, but she was also a mom to everyone else, providing love, dinner, and a helping hand whenever possible. It was just her nature. Mom’s greatest desire was to be kind and giving to the people she loved in her life. Her grandchildren were like jewels to her and she wanted so very much to watch them grow. Anyone that knew her could quickly see that she was generous and caring to everyone. She once said, “If I was a millionaire I wouldn’t be because I would give it all away.” That was truly how she lived. She poured her heart and soul into everything she did and was one of the hardest working, most energetic, and organized people anyone could ever meet. Her family often joked that she single-handedly kept the label maker industry in business. Everybody loved Patti. She will be missed dearly by all, especially by her family and husband. Mom wanted to specially thank her husband and three sons for their loving care during her last weeks of life. She also wanted to thank her sisters and friends Sue, Judy, and Rosie, and her very special friend Melissa. A memorial will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, October 11th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 211 Carlson Ave. in Toppenish. A reception will follow at the Zillah Community Center. Valley Hills Funeral Home is caring for the family. Online condolences may be left at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
