Patricia Bobette Coleman passed away on September 3, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years James C. Coleman, her daughter Anita M. Coleman and family Karla K. Lewis, Michael B. Lewis, Hayden M. Lewis, and Kodi J. Lewis. She leaves behind one brother William (Bill) Perdue, his wife Joan and their son Jim Perdue and nephew Michael Perdue, his wife Janet and their children. She is preceded in death by her sister Mary Perdue, Brother Fred Perdue, niece Karen Perdue and Parents Fred and Hannah Perdue.
From her birth in Marysville, Kansas on December 20, 1945 to her death Patricia nourished people around her with love and faith. Patricia or Patsy as her siblings called her moved to the Yakima Valley area in March of 1947 at the age of 15 months with her father, Fred Perdue and mother Hannah E. Barnes and siblings Mary M. Perdue, Fred E. Perdue, and William (Bill) Perdue where Patricia remained throughout her life.
Patricia Graduated from A.C. Davis High school in 1964, and went on to Yakima Valley Community College. Patricia entered the work force starting with Secretarial work and eventually migrating to bookkeeping and ending in real estate. At the time of her passing she was employed at Berkshire Hathaway Home Services as a Comptroller. Patricia consistently referred to her sixty plus coworkers as her work family. She felt very loved and cared for by them. Her favorite part of her job was that she got to learn something new every day and never met a challenge she could not overcome. She was self taught and self driven.
James and Patricia were married on March 29, 1968 and just this year celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Patricia met the young self proclaimed bad-boy James in 1966 and they embarked on a love affair that lasted more than 50 years. James and Patricia shared a love for winding and less traveled roads. They would stop to look at flowers and enjoyed the adventure of getting lost. They were each other’s favorite playmate. The only thing they loved as much as each other was their daughter Anita, Karla and their Grandchildren. Patricia was an amazing Grandmother and her family refers to her as the Maker of Memories. She was an exceptional Wife, Mother and Grandmother and will be forever missed and in their hearts.
Patricia was unique; she believed in getting to know every person individually. She never went someplace that she did not make a friend (from the grocery line, to the front desk clerk at Yellowstone National Park) she had a love for life and for people. There will be a Celebration of Life for Patricia on September 12, 2018 at 2 pm at Fontaine Estates Winery 151 Rowe Hill Drive Naches, WA.
