Ora Gifford
On Easter eve, March 26, 2016 surrounded by family at his home, Ora Gifford went home to be with the Lord at the age of 84. Ora celebrated Easter in heaven! Ora was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 27, 1931 to pearl & Flossie Gifford. He graduated from Columbia High School in Richland, WA. After serving his term in the United States Air Force, he began working for General Electric at the Hanford site as a Meteorologist and continued working for over 40 years at what is now the Battelle Northwest Laboratory. Ora was married to Constance J. Bowers on February 5, 1955, in Benton City, WA. They were married for 61 years. Ora enjoyed his hobbies of Ham Radio (KE7BF), golf and monitoring his personal weather station. He was an active member in the Sunnyside Grace Brethren Church. His love for the Lord gave him a passion for missions and service. He used his Ham Radio hobby to minister to overseas missionaries through ARMS (Amateur Radio Missionary service) and served in various roles in the church throughout his life time.
Ora is survived by his wife, Connie and his children Anita(Mike) Hunting, Eugene (Anita) Gifford, Edith (Jeffrey) Stewart, and Carmen (Brian) Parlee. Ora was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was also survived by his sister, Lavina, and brothers: Homer, Clyde, Dale, and Ray. Ora is preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Orville, Leonard and Paul. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Sunnyside Grace Brethren Church designated for Camp Clear Lake.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, April 2, 2016 at The Grace Brethren Church in Sunnyside followed by graveside services with military honors at the Grandview Cemetery in Grandview.
