Olivia Alvarado, 64 of Wapato entered into rest on May 4, 2019. She was born on September 6, 1954 in Nuevo Leon, Mexico to her parents Rojelio and Maria Del Socorro Alvarado.
One of her greatest accomplishments was receiving her GED at Heritage college.
Olivia had a love for “Vals” Carmel Macchiatos, she also loved gardening and spending time with her children, but she especially loved and cherished her time with her grand and great-grandchildren. Her hobbies were cooking, dancing, shopping and eating out with her BFF Martha Arizpe.
She was survived by her mother, Maria Del Socorro Alvarado Nunes, her children Robert (Lorraine) Castillo, Maria Simons, John (Rose) Bibles, Sofia (Louie) Birueta and Andrea (Alexander) Lopez; grandchildren Olivia, Robert Jr., Xavier, Jun (Nancy), Hezzy, Jocelynn, Jazzlyn, Yarissa, Dora, Diego, Damien, Manuel and Baby Ramon; great-grandchildren Anthony, Alexander and Amelia; siblings Daniel (Dolores), Nicholas (Carol), Rojelio (Lucero), Elda, Olga, Richard (Criselda), Elvia (Roel), Elsa, Demetrio and Rita.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rogelio Alvarado Sr. and brother, Miguel Alvarado.
A Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Valley Hills in Wapato from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at Changing Pointe Church (1510 South 36th Avenue, Yakima, WA) at 10:00 am. Olivia will be laid to rest at Reservation Community Cemetery.
