Neoma (Toots) Conner, 86 of Yakima, Wa entered into God's kingdom on April 28, 2023. She was born to Maggie and Elmer Hendricks in Caplinger Springs, Missouri on July 26,1936.
Neoma is survived by her husband John Leroy Conner, and sister Edna (Wayne) Friedrich and step daughters Lisa Paxton, Lani (Darren) Thomas and three grandchildren and six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews two sister-in-laws and 3 brother-in-laws. Neoma was preceded in death by her brothers Harry, Glen and Roy, a sister Elva, and a daughter Debbie Jo who she missed terribly.
Toots attended high school in Zillah, Wa. She married John Leroy Conner on September 5, 1980. Toots worked for over 30 years as a phlebotomist at the Toppenish Hospital. Everyone who knew her called her Toots, and she was known for her outgoing personality and her love of the outdoors. Toots was an avid deer hunter and loved to go fishing with Leroy. Over the years she took several deer and was an excellent shot. people liked to say "Toots Shoots"! Leonard and Trudy Vance were close friends and shared many adventures. Toots loved to bake and was renowned for her delicious pies and dumplings. She also loved traveling. She Traveled every state in the USA, the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, England, and Spain were among other places she visited. She had a heart of gold and will be sorely missed. Viewing will be Tuesday 5/2/2023 from 3pm-7pm, Graveside Services will take place at Zillah Cemetery Wednesday 5/3/2023 at 11am. A luncheon will be served at the Zillah Civic Center following the funeral service.
