N. Belle Wiley, 89, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Prestige Rehab in Sunnyside, WA.
Belle was born November 27, 1924 to Owen and Stella Wennihan in Havana, KS. She was the second born of 4 girls.
Belle graduated from Havana High School in 1942. After high school she attended Business College in Bartlesville, OK.
Belle married Leon Wiley of Wayside, KS on May 26, 1943. They moved to Sunnyside in 1947 where they celebrated 40 years of marriage in 1983. Belle continued to live in Sunnyside until her passing.
During her time in Sunnyside, Belle worked at Montgomery Ward as a clerk and Home Lumber as a bookkeeper.
Belle loved to sew, quilt, read and spend time with family. She had many adventures, including trips to Alaska, Mariners Spring Training, and Kansas to visit family.
Belle is survived by her 2 daughters, Joyce (Karl) Wyckoff of Sunnyside and Connie (Lindsey) Willman of Goodyear, AZ; 2 sisters, Mary Louise Carter of Coffeyville, KS and Gertrude (Wayne) Boulanger of Independence, KS; 2 grandchildren, Shaun (Shannon) Currier of Phoenix, AZ and Kimberly (Jeff) North of Fife, WA; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kassie and Allie North and MacKenzie Currier and numerous nieces and nephews She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon, and sister Viola Wheatley.
Services will be held 12:00 noon, Saturday August 2, 2014 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside, followed by graveside services at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.
