Nell Lydin, 90, of Selah passed away peacefully, Sunday, September 20th, 2015. She was born August 26th, 1925, in The Hague, Netherlands, and enjoyed three trans-Atlantic crossings before emigrating to the Yakima Valley. Nell studied Education at Central Washington College while becoming a U.S. Citizen. She met and married Donald Lydin in 1954 and eventually settled in the Selah area with two young boys. Nell kept finances for the family farm and enjoyed 20 years working in the Study Skills room at John Campbell Elementary school.
Nell is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald A. Lydin; two sons: Ralph, of Seattle, Gary (Chris) of Selah; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
