Neil Ware

Neil John Ware, 79, passed away May 17, 2013. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Barbara Jean (Blakesley), his children Karen Akers of Tacoma, Laurie Stiles also of Tacoma, and stepson Samuel Snyder, of Yakima. Neil had six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Jean Peppinger (Herb) of Arlington, WA, Vivian Presley (Kendrick) of Sheridan, OR, Hazel Countryman (Richard) of Sultan, WA, and Arthur Ware of Sitka, AK. He was preceded in death by his son Philip Neil Ware, and siblings Ilene Moen, Lois Casey, and Wesley Ware. Neil was born in Wenatchee, WA on October 16, 1933, to Arthur and Inez Ware (Norgar). He served in the U.S. Navy and in the U.S. Air Force. He lived throughout Washington, moving to Yakima in 1973, and worked for Edwards Equipment for 25 years until he retired. Neil enjoyed hunting and fishing and walking his dogs, and will be greatly missed. Cremation handled by Valley Hills Funeral Home. No services will be held per his request.
