Moses Jason Andy (Twee Tash Me Tumna), 49, of White Swan went home peacefully to Heaven Tuesday, September 27th, 2016 to be with his loved ones and Creator.
He was born October 23, 1966 to Amos Ambrose Andy, Sr. and Shirley Hannigan, both of White Swan. He attended White Swan High School and participated in Track and Wrestling throughout those years. He was also a dedicated, loyal Employee of Yakama Forest Product for over 10 years.
Moses truly was a Man of God. He was a very humble, loving, caring, giving, helpful, kind and mercyful man to everyone. He had the biggest heart, smile and wonderful ability to serve his people and make everyone feel like family. He was always watching out for everyone and making sure that his family and friends were always taken care of. He never hesitated to be there for you when you needed him and made it his priority to help with anything and everything he could. He had a strong, spiritual connection with his traditional teachings of the Longhouse and Shaker Religion and shared those teachings with the younger generation to ensure those traditions would carry on.
He enjoyed playing his slots at the Casino, cooking for the Longhouse and Shaker Church, digging and gathering traditional foods, stick games, supporting the White Swan Cougars and Tribal School Eagles and volunteering with The Sacred Road Church.
He is survived by his Brothers: Michael Andy and Stanley Andy, both of Toppenish; Amos (Ambrose) Andy of White Swan; Charles Andy of Wapato and David Andy of Inglewood, CA. Sisters: Cecelia Andy of Wapato and Sharon Andy of Toppenish; and numerous Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Grandkids who will all love and miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by: His Parents; Sisters: Lucille Andy, Becky Andy and Barbara (Andy) Randall; Brothers: Samuel Andy, Joseph Andy and William Andy.
Dressing will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 at the Toppenish Creek Longhouse in White Swan. He will remain there for overnight services and will be laid to rest at 6 am on Thursday, September 29th, 2016 at the Toppenish Creek Cemetery in White Swan.
