Barbara (Minnie) DeBord

Barbara (Minnie) DeBord (Kautzman); 102 yrs.old. Born: August 12, 1923 in Mandan, No. Dakota Passed away: May 6, 2026 in Yakima, Wa.

 Barbara was preceeded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, John J. DeBord; a daughter, Mary Janice Finley; a son, Robert J. DeBord; her parents Peter and Anna (Hatzenbihler) Kautzman; a sister, Katherine Kautzman and 4 brothers Phillip, Kasper, John and Clarence Kautzman. 

When Barbara was only 10 months old her mother became ill and passed away; her family later moved to the Yakima area where she met and married her husband in 1944.

 Barbara is survived by three children; Teresa Martin of Walla Walla, Wa; John DeBord (Maryann) of Long Beach, Wa and Jim DeBord (Rita) of Yakima; 13 grandchildren and numerous great & great-great grandchildren and several neices & nephews.

 Barbara worked in the banking industry for over 25 years, eventually retiring in 1981 from Bank of America. 

She enjoyed traveling, camping with family, gardening, playing cards and numerous gatherings of family and friends. 

Barbara was a loving mother and grand-mother and will be missed by so many fortunate enough to have known her and who shared many wonderful times with her.

 There will be a small family gathering on May 30th at Calvary Cemetery and Valley Hills Funeral Home,
