Mildred ‘Mimi’ I. Putzier returned home to our Lord Monday June 10, 2013 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Mildred was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on June 4, 1918. She attended school there and eventually met and married her high school sweetheart Bill Putzier. They were married for 69 years until his death in 2010. Mildred was a remarkable friend, loving mother and devoted wife, and as her grandchildren can attest, wrote the book on how to be a grandmother. She will be deeply missed.
Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Bill, and two children Billy Putzier and Leta Jacobson. Survivors include, a daughter, Rhonda Boertien of Parsonsfield, Maine; a son, Scott Putzier of Billings, Montana; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Graveside inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15 at Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima. Those wishing to attend the burial should meet at the cemetery. Share your memories of Mimi at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
