Mildred Piel

Mildred Anita Piel, 68, of Wapato, WA passed away of health complications on May 15, 2019 at the Yakima Regional Hospital. She was born August 9, 1950 in The Dalles, Oregon to the Late Sampson Wahpat and the late Lillian White Wahpat. Mildred graduated from Toppenish High School and went to school for nursing assistant. Mildred married Vincent Piel Jr. in 1976. Mildred enjoyed camping and berry picking, spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, always being in Mountains and roasting hot dogs with family. Mildred is survived by her husband, Vincent Piel Jr. of Wapato, her daughters, Vincetta (Thomas) James and family of Bellingham, WA, Julie Piel and family of Wapato, WA, and Janice Piel and family of Wapato, WA, Sons, Sampson Piel (Tsennibah) and family of Wapato, WA, George (Chelsea) Piel and family of Toppenish, WA, Gary (Annie) Piel and family of White Swan, WA, and Vincent Piel III (Trisha) and family, her brother, Robert Wahpat and family of Wapato, WA. In special regards to Roberta Wahpat and family (Daughter). She was preceded in death by both her parents Sampson and Lillian Wahpat, brothers, Chester Wahpat, Elthon Wahpat, and Kenneth Wahpat, and daughter, Vanessa James. Dressing will be Friday, May 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato, WA with overnight services to follow at the 1910 Shaker Church in White Swan.
