Micaela Cervantes

Sunnyside – Michela Cervantes “Micky” Age 61, beloved sister, aunt, great aunt went to be with her parents on December 26, 2022, at Astria Sunnyside Hospital. She was born April 6, 1961 in Edinburg, Texas. The second child of Nicolas and Elida Maria Cervantes. Micky attended Granger Elementary, then promoted to Middle School and became a Granger Bison and finally on to proudly take on the title of a Granger High School Spartan where she participated in the sports of softball, track and was a member of the school pep band playing the trumpet. I’m sure any neighbor that lived around the Punkin Center area could hear her practicing outside daily, so much to make first chair against some good competition. After graduation Micky attended Spokane Falls Community College then decided to move to Northern California and worked as security for several years. While living in California, Micky found a special friend (Helen Giudici) and spent the next 30 years together until Helens passing on January 17, 2019. After a stay in Vancouver, WA they decided to moved back to Granger to help take care of our dad. Micky loved spending time watching movies, new and or classics. Listening to her favorite music like Earth, Wind and Fire, The Commodores and even 80’s Rock-n-Roll. She also enjoyed a good BBQ with friends and family, or being out on the banks of a good fishing pond. Not to mention posting the finest sunsets in the valley from the Thacker Road Farm on her spare time. She always left a lasting impression with her sense of humor to all who knew her and she will truly be missed. The Cervantes Family would like to give a special thank you to DaVita Dialysis Center from Zillah and Sunnyside. The doctors and staff at the Toppenish Farmworkers Clinic and also everyone at the Astria Sunnyside Hospital for all their care and comfort. Also, a huge heartfelt thank you to Craig, Eva and the whole Carpenter Family for their lifetime of friendship. Michela is predeceased by Nicolas Cervantes (Father) Maria Elida Cervantes (Mother) Helen Louise Giudici (partner). Micky is Survived by Eduardo (Robin) Cervantes of Vancouver, WA. Sylvia Cervantes of Spokane, WA. Marcus Cervantes of Granger, WA. Nicolas Cervantes and Corina Barrera of Granger, WA. Daniel (Laura) Cervantes of Vancouver, WA. Everett Cervantes and Juany Soliz of Granger, WA. Numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces whom all loved her very much. The family has chosen to have a private service, we thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
