Meryle Lee Nedeff
Meryle passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of September 18, 2018.
Born July 12, 1933 in Yakima, Wa. to Harry and Edna Nelson. She was an only child and was the apple of their eyes. Meryle spent her childhood in the Nile Valley, attended elementary and Middle School at Union Gap, and High School at Davis High School.
In 1956 Meryle met Bill Nedeff, the love of her life. They were married November 2, 1956 in Yakima WA, at what is now the Vineyard Church.
Together they built an amazing life, Meryle was a homemaker for many years and cherished her children more than life itself. Her children include 3 daughters: Connie Nedeff, Kelly Nedeff, and Cindi(Rick) Hall, and 3 sons: John (Rayenna) Nedeff, Mike (Dana) Nedeff and Scott (Debbie) Nedeff. 15 Grandchildren: Alphonso, Ryan (Kelly), Ashley (Mando), Amanda (Rory), Randi (Chris), Kayla (Josh), Latera, Tony, Dylon, Anthony, Jaelynn, Brennan, Darrin, Trace and Jeremy. She also had the pleasure of getting to know and spend time with 35 great grandchildren, many of whom she saw daily.
In her younger years Meryle and Bill loved to get all dressed up on Saturday night and go Honky-Tonkin’ with their lifelong best friends Wayne and Delores Hartman. Meryle loved joining her husband on road trips to Wildhorse and spent most of her time with family; yardsaling, shopping with her daughters, writing letters to her niece Louise, or get togethers with other special family members; including niece Susie Burns.
Every morning she woke up with a smile, ready to greet her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as they came and went throughout the day. She adored her family and loved watching each one of their lives unfold. She was also a mother and grandmother to every neighborhood kid who stopped in; a true “Gapper Mama”. She was known for her amazing chocolate cake, and she welcomed everyone and treated each as if they were her own, and she always sent you on your way with a “Come Back!”.
Meryle is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Edna Nelson, her husband and love of her life; Bill Nedeff, and a great grandson Antonio Lopez.
“She flew up to heaven on the wings of angels,
by the clouds and stars and past where no one sees,
and she walked with Jesus and her husband waiting
I know she’s smiling saying don’t worry ‘bout me”
Ryan and Kelly Hall would like to thank the family for the pleasure of allowing us caring for Meryle in the last years of her life. It was our absolute pleasure.
There will be a Celebration of Life at 1pm on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Eagles (Yakima).
