Melvin Fox

Melvin Fox 82, a longtime Mabton resident passed away on May 18, 2013 at home after an extended illness. He was born and raised on a small farm outside of Mabton. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His early years were spent working in the fishing industry throughout Alaska. In August of 1953 he married Evelyn Dalrymple and continued to make his home in Mabton. He is survived by his children; Janice (Dale) Wahlen of Anchorage Alaska, Kathy (Chuck) Ledesma of Outlook WA, Julie (Ernie) Cash of Bossier City LA, Jim (Irene) Fox of Mabton, and Kelly Fox of Richland WA. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Cassie, Alex, Megan, Aaron, Josh, and hi great grandson, Clayton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Melvin is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, and his children, William and Sandra. Per Melvin’s wishes he was cremated and a memorial service will be held at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11:00 am.
