Matilde Garza

Matilde Garza (Mati) was born in Yakima Washington September 10th, 1970. She passed away on May 14th 2024 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Wapato Washington. Mati graduated from Toppenish High School in 1989. She married the love of her life Andy Garza on April 25th 1991. Mati loved being in the kitchen baking and cooking, especially her famous burritos. She worked at various bakeries for 16 years. She also enjoyed the outdoors and camping with her family. Mati loved attending Mariner and Seahawk games with her son and daughter. But those who truly knew her knew her world was her husband Andy and her kids, Mariah, Xavier (Miriam), grandchildren Laeiyla and Zuleyah, her dad Mauricio Rodriguez, her eight brothers and four sisters and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband Andy Garza, son Phabien Garza, granddaughter Amaya Garza, mother Alicia Rodriguez, brother DeJesus and sister Wvaldina.
