Mary Yonker

July 10, 1950 — October 7, 2014

On October 7, 2014 Mary A. (Woracek) Yonker lost a courageous battle to cancer surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born to Adolf And Bessie (Mach) Woracek in Bellingham, WA on July 10, 1950. She was raised in Everson, WA along with a brother and 2 sisters. Mary married her husband, and love of her life, Kent Yonker on February 16, 1968. They had 2 children, Alex and Angy, and moved to Zillah in 1979. Together they enjoyed many years of camping with the children as well as being very active in the Buena Grange and the Baptist Church. She worked at Sears for over 35 years and was honored with a plaque for her years of service there. Mary is survived by her husband Kent Yonker of Zillah; son Alex Yonker; daughter Angy (Bill) Wentz; brother Larry (Dina) Woracek; sister Linda (George) Voracek; 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Diana Woracek. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Buena Grange, 170 Highland Dr., followed by a light lunch where you are encouraged to share your memories of Mary with family and friends. In lieu of flowers the family wishes contributions be made to Heartlinks Hospice (formerly Lower Valley Hospice in Sunnyside) and would like to thank them for the caring support they gave to them during her battle.
