Mary Stammel

MARY LEIGH STAMMEL – Mary L. Stammel, 84, passed away November 1,2019 at Astria Toppenish Hospital in Toppenish, WA. She was born February 13, 1935 of Robert and Lula Milburn of Custer, KY. Mary graduated from the College of the Nazarene in Louisville, KY where she was later employed as a registered nurse. While living in Louisville she met and married William M. Stammel, Jr. who preceded her death in April 1978. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Ralph Alden, Ralph Lyon and Jacob Milburn. In 1989 Mary moved to Zillah, WA to be near her brother Jake. Mary is survived by her daughters Carol Stammel, Karen Stammel Thompson and son-in-law Chris Thompson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Leola Milburn and nieces Rebecca Dols and Bonnie Milburn. Please join us in celebrating her life on Thursday afternoon, November 7, 2019 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah, WA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and the funeral service will be held later at 5:30 PM.
