Mary Runkle

Mary Ann Runkle, age 79, went home to the Lord on March 28, 2014. She was born June 10, 1934 to John and Ruth Martin in Carlsbad, New Mexico where she was raised, graduated, married and raised 4 children. Mary Ann moved to Yakima in 1981 for a time, went back to New Mexico and moved back in 1997 permanently. Our memories of her are her sense of humor, her love for antiques and the love she had for her family. There are no words to express how mush she is loved and how much she will be missed. We were blessed to have her. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Martin; grandson, Michael Runkle; great grandchild, Shianne Bender. She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Harper of Carslbad, NM and Susie Sanders of Dyersburg, TN; four children, John Runkle of Nikolai, Alaska, Bill Runkle of Carlsbad, NM, Beth Wojczak of Yakima, WA, and Sharon Coppinger of Crawford, TX; nine grandchildren and 10 great granschildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at West Hills Memorial Park. Online tributes can be left at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
