Mary Perry 90 of Sunnyside passed away February 24, 2016 at Toppenish Nursing and Rehab. She was born February 3, 1926 to Cora Rowe McIntosh and William McIntosh. She married Robert Perry May 30, 1944 and together they lived in Sunnyside where Mary worked at the Hospital and later for Sunnyside School district with the disabled students. She also took in over 50 foster children through the years and treated them as her own. She enjoyed baking and made special themed cakes for birthdays and holidays. She also spent a lot of time canning the vegetables from her garden. She found great joy in the time she was able to go camping with Bob and Tim at their cabin in the mountains. She was very proud when she was able to buy a camper for them. Mary was a quiet, kind hearted sweet lady who loved her family.
She is survived by her son: Timothy, grandchildren: Becky Hall (Nate), Samantha Williams (Rick) Kodiac, Colton, Lily Perry, and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert of 71 years, her parents and siblings.
Viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday March 1, 2016 at 10:00 am; services will follow at 11:00 am at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Graveside services will follow at Outlook Cemetery.
