Mary Mcclaine

Mary L. McClaine, age 82, a life long resident of Yakima passed away on March 1, 2018. She was born July 22, 1935 to Willard and Ruth (Langell) Ryckman. Her mother Ruth passed away when Mary was three years old. Mary was the loving mother of Tim (Mildred) and Bryan Van Wechel. Bryan preceded her in death in 2012. She was married to George McClaine for 44 years until his passing in 2016. She was also the step-mom of Steve (Linda) and Scott (Helen) McClaine and Carmelita (Daniel) Orr. George McClaine Jr preceded her in death May 3, 2002. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and adopted son Virgil Anders. Mary was an incredibly intelligent woman and a great cook. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Genealogy Society and the Daughters of the Pioneers. Viewing will be 1-5pm, Friday, March 9, 2018 at Valley Hills Funeral Home (2600 Business Ln., Yakima). Graveside service will be 11am, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Holland Cemetery (8604 Mieras Rd, Yakima). There will be a reception following the graveside service at the Terrace Heights Grange (3701 W.
