Mary Burgett

Mary Margaret Burgett, 85, passed away October 21, 2017 at Astrid Toppenish Hospital after suffering a stroke. She was born in Ellensburg, WA to Harold and Bessie Lutzenhiser. She attended school in Thorp and Ellensburg. She married Jerry Burgett right out of high school and they had four children. After the children were older she attended Central Washington College and Big Bend Community College. She had jobs outside the home but she was best known to her family as a good hearted loving woman, who raised four kids, helped her kids raise her grandchildren and even some great grandchildren. She was also a wonderful caregiver. She provided care for her husband, both her parents and her sister in their later years. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister. She is survived by four children, Denise Burgett, Danny(Julia) Burgett, Marsha(Don) Greger, and Jimi(Steve) Weaver; six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and her four legged companion, Oscar, of 15 years. A graveside service will be held at the High Valley Cemetery(2521 Robinson Canyon Rd) in Ellensburg at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017.
