Mary Bliss

Mary Charlene Bliss age 87, passed away peacefully at 9:15 A.M. on Sunday morning Sept. 8, 2019 at Toppenish Nursing Home. Mary was born in Joplin, Missouri April 13, 1932 to Charles Alderson and Gladys J. (Stogstill) Alderson. Mary was a CNA at parkside Nursing Home for 20+ years. Mary made Indian Star Quilts & enjoyed sewing & crocheting doilies. She was a member of The Delaware Tribe of W. Oklahoma. Mary married her true love Earl L. Bliss in November 6, 1948 in Yakima, WA. They had four sons and one daughter. She is survived by his sons Loren Bliss, Mike Bliss & Bobby Bliss; daughter - Denise Bloom; 3 sisters Gladys Sue Blakesley, Elzaida Alderson Perry & Darla Sanders; (19) grandchildren; (31) Great Grandchildren; (2) Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Albert L Bliss; and brother Bud Alderson. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 12, 2019 from 2-7pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. Funeral Services will be held on Friday 13, 2019 at noon to 1pm. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. Burial will follow at Zillah Cemetery.
