Marvin Lawrence Martinez Sr., of White Swan, Washington, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. Born on November 9, 1945, in Neah Bay, Washington, Marvin lived a life rooted in love, family, friendship, and hard work.

He is survived by his nearest and dearest — Camille Martinez (Michael Tinoco), Leo Martinez, Angela Martinez, Delores “Pies” Martinez, Jeanna Hernandez, Tina Sockzehigh (Douglas Marconi Sr.), Marvin Martinez III, Waptasyi Martinez, Tqua-Nish-Sha Martinez, and Mikah Tinoco — along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

Marvin dedicated much of his life to serving others. During his time with YN Youth Activities, he not only worked tirelessly for the community but personally drove vans to pick up youth so they could participate in programs and events — an act that reflected his kindness and commitment to the younger generation. He also shared his love of boxing as a trainer, helping guide and inspire others in the sport that brought him so much pride as a multiple Golden Gloves champion.

Marvin spent over 40 years working with Wapato Irrigation, where his integrity and dependable nature earned him lasting friendships with local farmers and colleagues alike. In his younger years, he was also a champion wild horse racer, often racing alongside his brother Charles — together, they embodied strength, teamwork, and fearlessness.

Known for his warm smile, playful humor, and generous heart, Marvin touched the lives of everyone who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will live on forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
