Marjorie Ann Johnson, 96, passed away October 20, 2017 at Tri Cities Retirement Inn (Pasco, WA). She was born in Williams Iowa on July 30, 1921 to Andrew and Cora Caruth. She was the youngest of 9 children. She met George Johnson when he was at the Navy Electrician School in Iowa. He brought her to Ellensburg WA in 1946 and they were married in Yakima, WA on June 1, 1946. They had two daughters, Judy and Janice. They lived their lives in Ellensburg, Othello, and Moses Lake. She was a hard working woman inside and outside the home where she worked in the potato sheds, retail stores and the manager of the laundry mat (her last job) where she retired at age72. Her daughters and her family was her life as were her love for her cats. She loved spending weekends camping, fishing, rodeos, stock car races and having family vacations. She took great pride in her flowers and had one of the most beautiful yards in Moses Lake WA where she lived for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and seven siblings. She is survived by her brother Andy Caruth (100 yrs), 2 daughters Judy Gard (Rick) Retired traveling the USA and Janice Johnson of Albuquerque, NM ; 8 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. A special thanks to the Tri-Cities Retirement Inn staff for their loving care and the Valley Hills Funeral Home at Yakima, WA. Services will be held at a later date.
