Marie Ann (Jim) Shilow “Twus is Pum”
Marie Ann (Jim) Shilow of Wapato, WA joined the creator while at home On Easter Sunday April 16, 2017. She was born August 13, 1926 to Kiutus And Rose Jim in Toppenish, WA. She married Hadley F. Shilow October 20, 1946 until he passed in 1977.
In her younger days she broke horses and taught as a teacher for the Home Base and Head start children. She was a caretaker for her In-Laws Otis & Alice Shilow until their passing and continued to raise her children & grandchildren in the Old Home. She was also known for watching all kinds of sports. Especially if her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were involved. She was known by all as “Kuth-lah.”
Survivors include Siblings, Russell Jim of White Swan, Tillie (Celix) Lallashute & Victoria Rasberry of Wapato, WA. Daughters Lucinda (Rod) Carter of Lewiston, ID., Beatrice “Peaches” (Ron) Suppah of Warm Springs, OR And her Son in law Clifford Smiscon. 40 Grand Children, 4 Great Granchildren. She also loved her numerous nieces and nephews and numerous family members in North Dakota and Arizona. She preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, sisters; Myrtle Eyle, Mamie Smith, Brothers: Robert Jim Jr., Ralph Sr. Kiutus Jim Jr. Her Children Maurice Shilow, Clinton Shilow, Desilu Smiscon, and Gregory Shilow.
Dressing Services will be held Tuesday April 18 at Wapato Longhouse at 1pm. Overnight services to be held. She will leave at 7AM April 19 for burial at Yesmowit Cemetery in White Swan, WA.
