Marie Guthrie Noon was born in Grandview, Washington on January 16, 1931, to Herbert and Inez Guthrie. She went to Grandview High School and attended Linfield College. She then married Philip McCord Noon on September 27, 1952, and went onto manage his law office in Grandview for 40 years. She was one of the founders and first president of Grandview’s Jr. Women’s Club, a service organization, and was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church.
