Maria Villanueva

Maria Consuelo Villanueva, known dearly as Chelo, was born on June 17, 1971 in Mexico. She embarked on the journey to conquer the American Dream and worked hard since the day she arrived to the United States 26 years ago. On November 16, 2024, Maria passed away peacefully surrounded by her children. She was 53 years old. Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Santos Villanueva and Maria Consuelo Villanueva, and her sister Elvira Villanueva. She is survived by her children Rosa Magaña, Diana Picazo, Isabel Picazo, and Kevin Picazo as well as 10 grandchildren, her 9 siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.  Maria was an affectionate, dedicated, and hardworking individual who always put others first. She was a devoted mother. She enjoyed dancing. Her personality and infectious laugh brought happiness and joy to everyone she encountered. Her passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew her and loved her. Maria’s memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were honored with the privilege of knowing her.  At this time, her family thanks you for your continued prayers.
