Maria Trinidad-Flores

Maria Trinidad Flores, age 90, of Sunnyside, WA went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2018 at Toppenish Astria Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Trinidad was born on February 11, 1928 in Pihuamo, Jalisco, Mexico to Margarito Flores and Aurora Olivera. She married Amador Gonzalez and lived in Agua Escondida, Jalisco where they raised their ten children. Trinidad was a hardworking woman who was devoted to her family and enjoyed the company of her extended family and friends. One of her new favorite pastimes was sitting outside conversing with neighbors and people watching. She joined her family in the United States after her husband lost his battle to cancer in 1979. She spent the next 30 years traveling back and forth visiting her children until 2010 when she settled in Sunnyside. We will miss her stories and her affection. Trinidad is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers; her infant daughter, Gloria; her grandson, Edgar; and her daughter-in-law, Carmen. She is survived by her children, Rafael Gonzalez, Jose (Rosa) Gonzalez, Alicia (Fermin) Hurtado, Gloria (Bartolo) Castillo, Isabel (Rafael) Larios, Juan (Rosalba) Gonzalez, Mario (Ines) Gonzalez, Evelia Gonzalez, Fidel Gonzalez, Glenda (Alejandro) Sanchez; 32 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3-7pm with recitation of the rosary at 5pm on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Burial will follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at the funeral home. We will carry your memory in our hearts. !Te queremos abuelita!
