It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria Leticia Mancinas Garza “Letty”, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, at the age of 70.
Leticia was born on April 27, 1954, in Mina, Nuevo León, Mexico. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Fidel Mancinas, whom she married in June 1971. Together, they built a loving and strong family, and they were inseparable partners throughout their lives. Together they moved their family to Washington in 1992.
As a mother of six children, Leticia's love and care knew no bounds. She instilled in them values of kindness, compassion, and hard work. Nobody that ever visited her home left on an empty stomach. Her laughter could be heard from anywhere and it was just as unique as she was, her humor was something you could always count on being in her presence. Her family grew over the years to include 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, all of whom were fortunate to experience her warmth and nurturing spirit.
Leticia loved spending time talking with family and friends. She loved going to the casino, but she most enjoyed watching all her grandchildren play sports.
Leticia is survived by her husband Fidel Mancinas, her six children Sergio Mancinas, Sara Mancinas (Raul Romero), Norma Mancinas (Salvador) Mendoza, Omar Mancinas (Jurica Arroyo), Rene Adrian (Lorena) Mancinas and Karla (Jose) Palomarez. Her siblings Dora, Elida, Jose Cesar and Zulema; 16 grandchildren Arnold (Patty), Irak, Iran, Ingrid, Jessica, Alexia, Edgar, Xitlali, Julie, Dahlia, Silvano, Renata, Elijah, Sofia, Cruz, Omar, 1 great grandchild Aiden and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings Rosalinda, Baltazar and parents Maria Santos Luna and Anselmo Garza.
Leticia’s memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, extended family, and friends. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 26th at Valley Hills Funeral Home from 12:00PM- 6:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00PM. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and the remarkable woman she was.
