Margarita Salinas Solis entered into rest October 1, 2016 in Sunnyside, Washington. Maggie was born in Sunnyside, Wa June 5, 1948 to Maria Isabel and Glafiro Salinas. She married her husband Gilberto Solis in La Grulla, Texas on April 1, 1966. She traveled many places working with her husband before settling back into Sunnyside to raise their family. Maggie has 8 children, 26 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren who she loved very much. She enjoyed time in her yard, hanging holiday decorations, her flowers, and antiques. She was a loving caregiver for her oldest son Gilberto Jr. every day of her life. Everything revolved around the daily events of her husband, children and grandchildren.
Maggie was not one to be shy and was always eager to talk to everyone. She looked forward to her daily stops at St. Vincent de Paul in Union Gap for over 18 years. She was a great cook and there was always a meal ready on the stove to eat. Maggie also had a sweet tooth, and enjoyed cakes and pies.
She is survived by her husband Gilberto Solis of Sunnyside, her 6 sons; Gilberto Jr., Jaime, Ruben, Robert, and Sixto all of Sunnyside, and Raul of Toppenish. Also surviving are her 2 daughters, Isabel of Yakima and Susanna of Sunnyside. She leaves her 26 grandchildren; Monique, Destiney, Raquel, Jacob, Christy, Alex, Fabian, Julian, and Santana. Ricky, Daniel, Raul Jr., Jessica, Sixto, Myra and Maribel, Becky, Marie, Anita, Elsee. Jaime Jr., Jayla, Jaylin, Damian, Kyla, Ava and 8 great grandchildren.
She also leaves behind her 2 sisters Oralia Ybarra and Romana Arriaga as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be very missed by many. She is preceded in death by her mother Maria Isabel Solis, and her father Glafiro Salinas, and one granddaughter Natalie Rodriguez.
