Margaret Mansfield, age 94, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on September 6, 2014 at the Cottage In The Meadow Hospice House, in Yakima. She was born on February 25, 1920 in Chillawack, British Columbia. She married Harold Mansfield on December 7, 1948 in St. Catherine’s, Ontario. They pastored in the Foursquare denomination for 44 years, and then retired in Yakima in 1992 to be near family, remaining active in the Yakima Foursquare Church. Though she never had earthly wealth, she counted her personal relationship and faith in Christ, family, and friends, as her riches. Her gifts were hospitality, serving other people, and playing piano. She was a shining example of total trust in God, patience, and love. She loved music, the Seattle Mariners, and watching her great grandchildren’s sporting events. She played piano weekly at the Union Gap Assembly of God up until just two weeks prior to her death. She is survived by her husband, Harold Mansfield, of Yakima, daughters, Alice (Jim) Tolle, of Granada Hills, CA, Peggy (Bruce) Sherman, of Bellingham, WA, and Glenna (Nathaniel) Hagler, of Yakima, 9 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren. Service will be held at Yakima Foursquare Church at 11:00 AM Thursday September 11th, followed by burial at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
