Lucille St. Mary Sept 27, 1925 – May 14, 2018 Lucille I. St. Mary, 92, of Yakima, passed away on May 14, 2018. She was born in Wapato on September 27, 1925 to Everett and Blanche Taylor. She attended Wapato High School where she learned to defy the laws of physics, walking to and from school both ways UPHILL! She was a tennis champion and cheerleader; an activity that caught the attention of their quarterback, Bob St. Mary. These high school sweethearts would marry, lovingly raise their family, travel extensively and enjoy 71 years together. She cherished her Catholic faith in Christ and her family. She shared a love of golf, competing and winning. These passions combined to also provide countless hours of intense family card and board games. She is survived by her sons: Rick (Mikal) and Scott (Juli) of Yakima; daughter-in-law Linda; and her grandchildren: Ryan (Raj), Kelly (Kelsey), Rob, Michelle, Lori, Jaclyn (Kyle), Brynn (David). She is also survived by great grandchildren Nick, Drew and Taylor. She is preceded in death by her husband Bob, son Randy, siblings Lorena, Leonard and Ken Taylor; and grandson Brian Lee. A Prayer Vigil will be held 5:30 pm, Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Valley Hills Funeral Home (2600 Business Ln., Yakima) with visitation from 5-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am, Friday, May 18, 2018 at St. Paul Cathedral followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.
