Loyal A. McLoud, 72, of Yakima died Friday at Cottage in the Meadow.
Mr. McLoud was born in Huntsville, Ark. He lived in the Yakima area for more than 35 years. He retired from the Navy, and had served in Vietnam, the Falkland Islands and during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was also a musician for most of his life.
Survivors include two sons, Andy McLoud Jr. of Yakima and Donnie McLoud of Terrace Heights; two daughters, Leona Crichton and Sandra Wiegand, both of Yakima; two brothers, Gary McLoud and Mike McLoud, both of Yakima; four sisters, Dori Lucas and Sally Simmons, both of Yakima, Beverly Tyler of Jonesboro, La., and Marilyn Sappenfield of Buena; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.

There will be a ceremony at the Blue Barn in Wiley City at July 6th at 1:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life and potluck style dinner to follow.
