Yakima, WA - Lori Troianello, wife, mother, friend, and sister, 66, died from a brain aneurysm Aug. 13. She was surrounded by family members at Yakima Memorial Hospital.
Lori was born July 22, 1960 in Elizabeth, N.J., the second daughter to Joseph and Jean Ryan. Except for a short time in southern California, she grew up in Gillette, NJ, where she graduated high school and attended college for cooking science. She went on to hold several jobs including airline ticketing agent, restaurant hostess, waitress, and prep cook. On July 5th, 1980, she met Mark Troianello; they were married two years later. They owned and operated a pizzeria for several years. After that, Lori started a sandwich shop which she ran until 1990, when their first son, Joseph, was born. He was followed in 1992 by Michael.
In 1993, the family moved to Yakima where Mark became a partner in his father's heating and air conditioning company, Thermex. After her children entered middle school, she began working as office manager for Thermex.
Lori was well known for her excellent cooking. Later in life, she started gardening again, winning several awards for her vegetables. Nothing gave her more pleasure than cooking with the vegetables she grew herself.
Lori is survived by her husband, Mark; sons Joseph (Emma) and Michael; her sister, Bonnie Reichard (Scott), brothers-in-law Craig Troianello (Karen), Robert Baker and Duane Richie, and nephews Tom Curtin (Paula), Joe Curtin, Peter Troianello, Joe Baker (Jamie), and Chris Baker (Liz).
Lori's funeral will be held at Holy Family Church, 5315 Tieton Dr., Yakima, WA on Friday, August 28th, at 10 Am, followed by a reception on site.
