Loren Gayken

Loren “Pickle” Gayken died peacefully in Yakima, Washington on 10/19/2016 at the age of 81. Loren is survived by his wife Alma Gayken, his brother David and wife Sharon Gayken, his children Gene and Valeree Gayken, Allen and Virginia Gayken, Mary and Gary Tonkin, Sandy and Brian Teegarden, and Brad Gayken. Loren is also survived by his 13 Grandkids and 3 Great Grand Children. Loren was born in 1935 in Lennox, South Dakota to Christena and John Gayken. He Married Annis Stearns when he was 18 years old. Loren and Annis had 5 children together. Later in life Loren married Alma and had been married for 35 years. After moving to Washington, Loren began working as a mechanic for Snokist Cannery and finished his career at TreeTop. Public viewing will be 3:00pm-7:00pm, Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Valley Hills Funeral Home (2600 Business Ln. Yakima). Funeral will be 1:00 pm, October 26, 2016 at Valley Hills Funeral Home with burial at Tahoma Cemetery, Yakima, following the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Loren’s life.
