Loren
Barrientos
July 9, 1959 – May 1, 2026
Loren Barrientos, known to many as “Banger,” lived a life that was anything but ordinary, and he wouldn’t have had it any other way.
In his younger days, he was the life of the party, rocking his mullet and a personality you couldn’t miss. That energy never really left him. It simply grew into the kind of man everyone could count on. He was hardworking and strong, never one to ask for help, but always the first to give it. If you needed something and he could make it happen, he would. No hesitation and no judgment.
He had a deep love for cars, especially older models. Painting cars was not just how he made a living. It was part of who he was, something he took pride in and truly loved.
Outside of work, he knew how to enjoy life. He loved camping, especially trips to Packwood. Riding around in the golf cart, swimming, and visiting the big yard sales in town became some of the most cherished memories for his family. He also loved to unwind with a good western or any show that caught his interest. Once he started something, he was all in.
He had a patience about him that made people feel at ease, and a generosity that never ran out. He spoiled his family, rarely said no, and became a father figure to many. Not because he had to, but because that is just who he was.
His love extended deeply to his dogs, Indie and Gram, who meant the world to him, and anyone who saw them together knew the feeling was mutual.
He lived a good and full life, built on love, hard work, and always showing up for others. While we wish we had more time, we are grateful for every moment, every memory, and every lesson he gave us.
Loren is survived by his father, Lawrence Barrientos; siblings, Michelle (Grant) Rhode and Lonny Barrientos; children, Priscilla Enriquez and Jerry Enriquez Jr (Aida Caltenco); grandchildren, Rosamaria (Luis) De Leon, Yesenia Cabrera, Geraldo Enriquez, Alejandro Cabrera, Sophia Enriquez, and Ricardo Cabrera; great-grandchildren, Leonardo De Leon and Cataleya De Leon; sister-in-law, Kerri (James) Folkers; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is reunited with those who preceded him in death, including his mother, Jo Ellen Barrientos; siblings, Lindsey Barrientos and Vicky Barrientos; and the love of his life, his wife, Carmen Barrientos.
Loren was a lifelong resident of Toppenish, where he graduated and built a life centered around family, camping, and his passion for working on cars.
Family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched are invited to honor his life on Tuesday, May 12th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 213 N Beech St, Toppenish, WA.
