Surrounded by those she loved most, Lois Mae Hinze (Wilson) passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018.
Lois was born June 4, 1929 in Broken Bow Nebraska, the youngest of five children born to Ray and Jessie Wilson. The family moved to the Longview area in 1936, and Lois graduated from R.A. Long High School in 1948. It was in Longview she met and married the love of her life, Ernie Hinze, in 1953. In 1959, they moved to Naches and remained in the Selah-Naches area the rest of their lives. Together they had three children. They were married 56 years, until Ernie’s passing in 2009.
They loved each other’s company and did everything together. From camping and travelling, to going to Ernie’s softball tournaments, to yard sales and flea markets, they were truly inseparable.
Lois held several jobs over the years; she worked for Weyerhaeuser in Longview, for Snokist, the USDA, The Bon Marche in Yakima, and at the Viking Village in Selah.
Lois was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She was filled with love for her friends and especially her family. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by three children: Gregory Hinze (Heather) of Yakima, Curtis Hinze of Naches, and Kristine Beers (Gary) of Chattaroy, WA; four grandchildren: Jason Hinze of Portland, OR, Daniel and Caleb Beers of Spokane, and Tatiana Beers of Chattaroy, WA, and two great-grandchildren, Colin Hinze of Portland OR and Aaliyah Beers of Spokane.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 23 at the Naches Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
