Lilly Blair Hultberg
Lilly Blair Hultberg went to be with Jesus on December 3, 2015, following a long battle with Leukemia. Her final days were spent doing what she loved most, spending time with her family, friends and loved ones. Lilly was known for her courage, strength and independence, and she faced her illness with the same character, even to the end.
Lilly’s favorite playmates were her brothers, who treated her like a princess. She loved the Seahawks, American Girl dolls, and spending time with her dog, Hot Dog Jack. She also enjoyed baking, and going to the candy store, with her mom, to pick out candy to give to others. Lilly was an amazing lego-builder and loved putting together puzzles. She cherished spending time with others most, and her absence has left a hole in the hearts of her many friends, cousin’s and loved ones.
Lilly’s smile and giggle lit up every doctor’s office she frequented. She held a special place in many caregivers’ hearts. Her spunky personality was enjoyed by all who had the honor of knowing her. She leaves behind many loving caregivers whose support and encouragement sustained her and her family through many years of battling her illness. Her family would like to thank Anderson Medical Specialty Associates and staff. They also extend gratitude to Seattle Children’s Hospital and Nurses Robin, and Jean “Jean Jelly Bean.”
Lilly is survived by her loving parents, John and Heather Hultberg of Moses Lake, WA; (bad ass) brothers, Lukkes and Issak Hultberg; paternal grandparents, John and Janet Hultberg of Prosser, WA; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Kathryn Lukkes of Yakima, WA; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her deeply.
We would like to thank grandparents and family for standing on the front lines with us as we fought this battle. Thanks also to the Robertson family for always standing in the gap with us. Finally, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the many who followed Lilly on Caring Bridge and prayed for her. We so appreciated your countless prayers and encouraging words to us.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Lilly, December 12, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Grace Brethren Church in Sunnyside, WA. A collation will follow the service (this is where we will stuff our faces with candy in honor of sweet Lilly.)
