Lila Robison

Lila J. Robison, age 77, of Yakima passed away on September 29, 2017. Lila was born in Wapato, WA along with her twin brother Leo. She attended school in Tieton and graduated from Sunnyside High School. She graduated nursing school, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse. After briefly working as a nurse she started her career at Yakima Valley School, where she became the Director of the Foster Grandparent Program. Lila met Ron and married May 31, 1963 then they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May of 2013. They lived in Yakima and had 3 children and she was involved in every family activity. She was a hockey mom and band mom to every kid. She loved to be camping, fishing and boating especially if she had her kids and grandkids with her. She was never happier than when she was feeding her kids. During retirement Ron and Lila spend many winters in Yuma, AZ. Lila is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Robison, her father Pete Rutz, mother Ruth Rutz, sister Alice Wilma Peebles Williams, and brothers Leo and Donnie Rutz. She is survived by her children: Brian Robison (Kelly O Neal), Byron Robison (Lavon), Tonita Berger (Rob); three grandchildren: Madyson Berger, Carson Robison, Payton Berger. Public viewing will be 2pm-5pm, Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Valley Hills Funeral Home (Yakima). Funeral service will be 10am Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Valley Hills Funeral Home Chapel (Yakima) with burial at the Outlook Cemetery.
