Leroy J. Morrison I, (50), Yakama Tribal member of Wapato Washington passed away on December 24th 2023. Leroy was Born to Stella and Paris Morrison Sr. on May 30th 1973 in Toppenish Washington. Leroy loved basketball, tagging, drawing and a variety of music mostly rap and hip hop and above all Leroy was a 12th man of the Seattle Seahawk’s. On September 4th 1992, he married Tracee Malatare and had 3 sons and a daughter who he claimed as his own. He made a living working various jobs with the Yakama Nation. He is survived by his 4 children; Desmond Troy Morrison Sr. , Lewis Paris Morrison and Leroy Jay Morrison II and LaReesa Jade Beebe-Morrison, 9 grandchildren; Leroy Morrison III, William Morrison-Garza, David Morrison, Desmond Morrison Jr., Katie Wapsheli-Morrison, Seychelles Morrison, Alexander George-Morrison and Malcom Phillips. Siblings, Josephine Morrison, Joaquin Morrison, Ida Morrison, Lora Morrison, Amelia Valencia and Chester Morrison. His mother Stella Morrison. He was preceded in death by his father Paris Morrison Sr, uncle Thomas Morrison Sr, grandparents Geraldine George, Gresham Morrison, Amelia Bassett, and Harry Larvingo also his brothers Paris Morrison Jr. And Thomas Morrison Jr.
There will be a dressing at valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato Washington at 11 AM Thursday December 28th 2023. At 12:30 PM there will be service and testimony at All Tribes Church in Wapato on hwy 97 and Progressive. Then at 2:00 PM he will be brought to the Wapato Long house for Washut Service, Evening Meal, overnight Service and Midnight Meal. In the morning of Friday December 29th 2023 they will have a light breakfast at the Wapato Long house where they will bring him to 1910 Shaker Church Cemetery to be laid to rest.
